Everything is moving.. literally

I'm sure there is a catchy saying somewhere relating our company and myself. Both are really moving, literally. I'm moving house, to Collingwood. We're going to be 15 minutes from the bottom of Blue Mountain and it has been snowing for a week!! Starting my workday with an hour of snowboarding.. hmmmm. I might have to write that into my job description.

And by company, I don't just mean myself and Ian. There's Chris, Taylor, Julie, Sheryl, Amanda, Barb, Kate, Lauren, Chris (another Chris), Tobey, Ryan ... well you get the idea. Quite a few people for a small company with only two employees. A big small company. Gotta love outsourcing. Everyone only does what they are good at with two full time staff to bring it all together. And all over the internet. Man, is that ever cool.

What is most striking about this team is how much time and effort they spend helping our company succeed. They don't have to. They want to. Ian and I make every effort to help support their companies, and the return is more than we could hope for. My brother is currently finishing up a business degree. We talk about IJ Solutions regularly because there is no substitute to a real live case study. Unlike in the class room, with IJ Solutions the outcome is still being written. Everyone we work with is part of our growth. Part of something bigger than the individual parts. A big group of small companies doing BIG things. Things like Slamdance.com, an independant film festival in Park City, Utah. Their HQ is on Melrose Ave, LA, California. Their festival is awesome. Their site is awesome. And we get to be a part of it. :)

That said, beyond a quick glance backwards on the team's success, it's time to look forward. We're moving forward remember. Time to get my house packed and get on with my next big challenge, documenting OpenEdit.

I wonder where we'll be in a year from now? I'm not sure.. but I'm excited to find out.
